Leadership

From the diamond to the hardwood, Coach JP is a lifelong sports enthusiast born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario. A former high-school basketball MVP, George Brown College tournament team member, and provincial baseball player, he brings over 30 years of youth coaching experience. He currently holds the Canada Uhoops basketball trainer position at Lifetime Fitness and is registered with the National Coaching Certification Program.
Recent achievements include the 2026 U10 Ontario Provincial Championship, Coalition Ring Division Championship, and the Made Hoops Provincial Championship.

From a young age, Coach O'Neil developed a passion for athletics through competitive baseball and basketball. As a former athlete on both the diamond and hardwood at George Brown College, he learned firsthand the importance of teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and leadership. Those experiences became the foundation for a lifelong commitment to mentoring and developing young athletes.
For more than 30 years, Coach O'Neil has coached basketball at both the middle school and high school levels. He currently holds the Canada Uhoops basketball trainer position at Lifetime Fitness and is registered with the National Coaching Certification Program.
